A finish was missed, or I shortened the course. How do I fix the results?

Use Set finish to record or correct a finish time and position, including after a shortened course.

Updated 2026-09-22

Set finish is your manual override, and the answer to most scoring problems.

  1. Open the race: My clubs → your club → Racing tab → Manage on the race's card.
  2. On the entry's ⋮ (Entry actions) menu, Set finish.
  3. Enter the finish time (defaults to now, or to the recorded finish if there is one).
  4. Optionally enter a position (a whole number, 1 to 1000).
  5. Save.

Saving also marks the entry Finished, so this is how a boat gets into the results table.

Available on Live and Finished races, so you can correct a result after the fact. Elapsed time is recalculated from the race start.

If the boat already has a handicap its corrected time is recalculated too, but you cannot set or change that handicap once the race is Finished: Set handicap leaves the menu at the same moment Set finish stays in it. Corrected time is displayed only and is never placed on, so this affects a number in a column rather than anybody's result.

It will refuse a finish time before the race started, and it will refuse an entry whose owner never granted consent.
